School Organisation

Children are taught in separate age groups. All classes are single year groups and are taught a full range of subjects by the class teacher with some interchange of teachers for certain activities e.g. P.E. and Music.

The curriculum is differentiated so that all children, regardless of age are given the opportunity to progress at a rate appropriate to their ability.

Time spent on teaching:

  • Foundation Stage children (Nursery ) 15 hours weekly.
  • Foundation Stage children (Reception ) 23 hours weekly.
  • Key Stage 1 children (Years 1 and 2) 23 hours weekly.
  • Key Stage 2 children (Years 3-6) 24.5 hours weekly.
