School Council

Each year, children from Year 1 to Year 6 have the opportunity to apply to become a member of our School Council if they wish to do so. As part of our PSHE lessons, pupils take part in a School Council election, giving them a meaningful opportunity to experience democracy and develop an understanding of our British Values. Our elected School Council members meet regularly each half term with Miss Calvert to share ideas, discuss matters that are important to pupils and help make a positive contribution to school life. They work together to support and organise school events, activities and initiatives, ensuring that children’s voices are heard and that pupils have an active role in helping to shape our school community.
