Nursery
Welcome to Nursery
The staff in the Nursery are Mrs Craggs the class teacher, Mrs Terpsiadou and Mrs Langlands the Nursery Nurses. Mrs Terpsiadou works Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Mrs Langlands works a Thursday and Friday.
Learning through play
In Nursery we value the importance of purposeful play, through play your child is building up relationships, developing curiosity, using their imagination, problem solving, gaining independence and acquiring new vocabulary.
Seesaw
Please ensure you sign up to your child's seesaw account. We use it to share photos with you to show you what your child is learning. You can also use it to share photos of what your child is doing at home with you. We believe you as parents are partners in your child's learning and this allows for easy communication between home and school.
How can we help you?
One of our Nursery team will always be available to chat to you before or after school, we do request that parents respect that there may be sensitive conversations going on and give each parent a chance to speak with the Nursery staff. If you want to arrange for a longer conversation you can message Mrs. Craggs on Seesaw.
Every day in the Nursery is filled with excitement, play, curiosity and learning and we are so glad that we get to share this journey with the Nursery children.
A typical day in Nursery looks like this.
8:45 children come to school, write their names and plan their play for the day.
9:00 Carpet session (either a Communication and language or maths focus)
9:15 Children access indoor provision supported by the adults in the setting
10:30 Snack time – this is an opportunity for counting and discussing

In Nursery children are painting, playing with sand, water and play dough everyday, we expect them to get messy, please see their uniform as overalls for school.
We aim to go outside every day so children should bring a puddle suit and a pair of wellies to leave at school.
We looking forward to working together over this next year.
